Yesterday lol. I was talking about getting them in my other posts... I haven't tested them cuz I don't know how to wire dvc yet but I hope I made a good choice. So do you still think the box has to be 5cu ft or whatever?
You guys are always telling me "if it's in a good box" ... well I need help with that part... I don't know how to make a good box... http://rapidshare.com/files/237785491/ported_enclosure_001.skp.html That's what I have pictured... I don't know how to tune or size or anything... and I guess this is how I should wire each sub http://akamaipix.crutchfield.com/ca/learningcenter/car/subwoofer_wiring/1DVC_4-ohm_2ch.jpg
Like I said before a max height of 16 inches, max width of 40" and a depth, maybe 1-2 feet. 2 is pushing it... Not much at all...
Well you could get 5.0ft^3 with these numbers (40x16x18). You may be better off going vented as opposed to ported, they are similar but a vent takes up less area. My friend is taking one out of his car and it banged with 2 p3 15s. I don't know how to design a box like that, but there are some helpful people here who surely can.
If you add the 3/4" mdf it only leaves you with about 5' 3" cu. not including the displacement of the vent... and I can't go any bigger with the box. I think I'm gonna have to stick with a smaller size... it may be too small but it's all I can do...
go IB. save 95% of your trunk space. you should have done some research before you bought your subs as to what would work in your trunk. or just hook up one sub in a larger box for it.
