caddy i already did that, my caddy came with the 5.25 in the rear door panels, and the 4x6 in the dash, which i already upgraded, but thanks, and yea about removing the 6x9's in the rear im not doing that, i saw they kept saying that in the caddy forum, but just not my way to go, plus i have the 3way yelloow pioneer 6x9's layin around that i rather throw in there.

viking your a d*ck lol but the as for the IB idea it isnt bad, but honestly i tried it in the past with the kicker free air subs a couple of years ago in a 90 4 dr civic and instead i saw a better response making a ported box for them, another thing is thank you for referring me to great subs and other ideas but dont forget people i wanna use what i have and not go and have to buy other items that everyone else prefers..

to you and all the "car audio wanna be's" its an infinite baffle design.......

Maybe i should draw a picture for you especially.....nah, aint woth my time

OK, enough of the 12 year old attitude for a while, although its hard to talk down to , er , nermind,,,,,,,,,,,

Your ONE 12 can EASILY hit the 140's dB area, DUH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am talkling about 1990's technology...........

For alot of you, it hard to understand,,,,,,,back in the days of eraly SPL sytems, alot of things were experimented with, due to limitations of the current technology of the day. An IB system that hit 143 was a PHENOMANAL feat in its day..the work invovlved was intense and time consuming for that design, which I wont tell many people about to this day....

TOday, just buy a high excursion sub, shove it in a prefab box, hook it to an amp and WOW! 140+ dB..........

So in other words, the technology today has advanced far enough to make our ears bleed on a budget.........NO brain work invovled........

Now 727, maybe YOU should shut the kunt up......your little 145dB one 12 inch sub sytem DOES NOT impress me or anyone else.......Try and do that back in the OLD SCHOOL DAYS, you would be gettin your cactus smeared in the dirt.....

    Now STFU and learn.................

Wow, I think I hit a nerve LMAO.

Anyways, I missed the 1990s part so good for you and did not know what IB meant, usually when people talk free air, they say free air. And by the way you can not hook up any sub in a pre-fab box with any amp and hit 140+ on a Term at headrest. Shyt W7s can barley get over 140+ in a aero port box with the matched RF for the car.

And a high-excursion sub? Please tell me you don't think excursion is everything. SI Mags have little excursion and some of the best SPL subs there are.

Viking...I know what an IB setup is...what most people do is just stick some subs on the rear deck and be like it doesn't sound as good as a box

But what most people don't know is that the rear must be sealed off from the cabin as much as possible...like what you prolly did...using crafty woodwork and adding more shyt to make it more airtight.

    good night

lol nah i havent, the only thing i did this weekend was remove the tag holder to put some foam behind it, and to the tag itself also because it rattles way to much, as for the seats i want to see if i give it a try today but im not sure, plus i have to take a look at how to remove the seat correctly.

oh and for the "active audio" yea it did, sounded nice but a big pain in the ass for me since i had to run wires from front to back in order to install the indash monitor

yuh i know the feeling my caddy orginally had bose
the rear seat isnt too bad.
remove the insulation in your trunk at the back being there at the top left and right will be 2 really long studs with a set of bolts with huge washers remove those the rear seat will pull forward enough to remove that leather flap. its really easy to remove and reattach if you choose to put it back on.

You don't have to mount the subs IB on the back deck...You can seal the back deck from the trunk and make a baffle with the back of the rear bench seat...Just takes some modding to the rear seat and such

ok i finally did it, it does sound a lot better, and you can actually feel more air flowing through the armrest when down than the actual ports, what i did was i took out the sound deadening matieral, and the leather peice i just rolled it down and tucked it on the bottom, and then cut the grey carpet from the trunk into the design of the hole for the armrest, which is good because it isnt a huge hole and its on the lower bottom, and with the hole it doesnt restrict any air flow.

i still like the thought of the custom bandpass enclosure but i guess for now its good, considering this was free lol

lol, caddy would you know the exact way of changing the 6x9's? i know you have to remove the seat, and im sure i shouldve done it today since i already had the seat some what off but i had the 6x9's at my friends house, so i said F it and do it another day..

Which way are your drivers facing? Are they firing towards the cabin or the back of the trunk? I had two 12" Kickers in a sealed box in a Bonneville...firing towards the interior....I had the same problem...Then I turned the box completely around and my bass then settled in the car instead of the trunk...

You would be surprised how doing this, or moving the box forward or backwards in the trunk can make a difference...it can....No two cars are alike...Experiment.....
