What about door speakers. I need good door speakers now to. Same goes with 6-1/2" speakers or is that totally different?

    Thanks.

I can fit 6-1/2" speakers in there. I think that's what I have in now.

I forgot to mention that the speakers sometimes get wet because water gets down in the door panel so I might need some water resistant speakers? not sure... you tell me.

Will those last if they get wet?

That wont protect the cone or tweet though. It may not matter but i dont know for sure.

I don't need the cone or tweeter protected from the front. Is a baffle recommended for all speakers? Like my 6x9s just sit in the rear deck which is fully open to the trunk you know what I mean? And the door speakers are fully open to the full car door metal interior. Should I put those baffles on all 4 speakers?

    Thanks.

Then baffles would be the way to roll for you

I can't put em on my 6x9 JBLs (which are amazing btw they shake my trunk a little all by themselves and get super loud without distortion) and they are big and touch my sub box so i wouldn't be able to fit a baffle under there lol

oh, you have a sub? man, gotta tell you, you may be risking hurting those 6x9's then. if they aren't in their own box you could blow them from the SPL from the sub will be pushing on those 6x9 cones.

is there any way you could make a enclosure for the 6x9's?

He dont need a box if he gets the baffles. But, he says they wont fit.

Don't worry. My subs suck. I had my 6x9s off and my subs blasted and it was only vibration the cone the same way it vibrates the rest of the car. It really wasn't moving it at all. Do you think it would be okay? I really don't have any other choice.

i would say just check by disconnecting the 6x9's and look at the movement. then connect then and look at the movement again to see if it's pushing too hard.

Ya, I did do some testing. I'm gonna do more testing though just to be absolutely sure.

Whoa idk wtf happened but I made a huge mistake. With the subs on and the 6x9s off, the 6x9s look like they are on full blast! Whoa. Glad I caught that. I'm gonna have to put a baffle under there but it's gonna have to be touching the sub box and the magnet all together. It's the only way I can fit it. Do you think that will do it?

    Thanks.

good thing you checked it out! you could have totally ruined a new set of 6x9's.. well lets do it as cheap as possible.. why not get some cardboard and make a simply box for the 6x9's. all you want to do is protect the 6x9's from the air pressure of the subs. that should do the trick and you won't have to spend a dime. :)

shoe boxes and gorilla tape. done.

also why do you want your 6x9's to slam when you already have a sub? its not going to add anymore bass.
