well for 25 bucks a woofer...they are the best cheap subs i've ever heard.

    I wouldn't use those MA's

    I'd do two 15 CVR's...those would pound.

How do you wire up two subs to a mono amp?

connect em both to the same terminal? both subs will just hit at the same time its the usual lol

I know that may have been a stupid question and this one might now be any better. if you have a single channel amp pushing 1000watt rms and hook both subs up under the same terminal, does that mean both subs are getting the full load?

they will get 500 a piece thats if the amp is actually pushing out 1000
so basically wired together they will split the power

well it actually depends on the load.

lets say it 1000 at 4 ohms and 1300 or so at 2 ohms, and even more at 1 ohm then what thekidd said.they will share the load.

BUT if you get mismatched ohm subs then the lower one will get more power.you dont want that!

so if you use dual coil subs be sure they are wired correctly

Thanks alot for the help so far. Woud the POWER ACOUSTIK OV1-2000D amp be a suitable amp for the 2 15" kicker cvr 2ohm subs? The amp is rated at 900watts @ 2 ohms. split that and ive got 450 a speaker right? is that about where i want to be pushing the subs?

are the subs 2 ohm or will the final load be 2 ohms?

    cause 2, 2 ohm subs=either 1 ohm or 4 ohm.not 2ohm

All i know is they offer 2ohm subs and 4ohm subs. I figured if i got the 2ohm subs i could get more power from the amp hooking both of them up under the same terminal? I dont understand how you would get one ohm from 2ohm subs. Do i need to get the 4ohm subs to get it down to 2ohms?

that depends on if you are wiring them together or separate cause if you wire them together dvc 4ohm subs in series would give u 4 ohm and parallel would give u 1 ohm now if you wire them separate you will get 2 ohm in parallel and 8 ohm in series

with 2 ohm subs wired together in series you get 2ohm and in parallel would give u .5 ohm wired separately u would get 4 ohm in series and 1 ohm in parallel

let me know if i lost you or you can go to here for a visual

    Wiring diagrams

so basically from what all I read. I am going to want to get 2 cvr dvc 2ohm 15" subs and a mono amp such as the one I listed previously. wire the subs in paralell with the amp and the dvc's in series. that should still leave me with a 2ohm load. correct?

Wiring your subs: Dual Voice Coils
2 DVC drivers with Voice Coils in Series / Parallel
Connecting the two voice coils of each driver in series (+ to -) and the drivers themselves in parallel (+ to +, etc.) will result in the following impedances:
    Dual-2 Ohm Subwoofer: 2 Ohms
    Yes...it would be correct
