You should be all good, especially with the independance rise. I cannot stress how important it is to have a good electrical with it though.
Is it dual 4 or dual 2? if its a dual 4 you could use the AudioPipe 3k
If you wire one coil, the power handling will be half of the Rated RMS. I would wire it parralell and get .75 ohms and let independance rise take...
