yes, yes and yes lol you might be able to get away with say a 120 or 130 amp alternator with a solid big 3 in 0 gauge and another battery at least but that amplifier must pull 100 amps easy. So i would go for a 200 amp alternator, it's also not a good thing to starve a big amp like that for power. There is a good place on ebay for the 200s i can give you the link if you want.

That's on my list too don't feel bad lol, i already upgraded to a 130 alternator but it's not enough for my orion, i'm going for a 200 amp alternator and a hc2000 kinetik battery for the back, i have a 1200 cca battery in the front and i have 1/0 gauge wire but i haven't installed it yet, too cold out.

This is pretty well what i have, an older pic , with a 130 amp alternator 1200 cca battery in the front big 3 with 4 gauge mind you but it's not enough and the wire needs to be changed to 1/0 gauge and a 200 amp alternator. Lol it's adding up quick, hopefully when mine is done i can just enjoy it problem free for years lol.

hey, i'll paste my message here too, so others can chip in.

    Re: alternator
if one battery is bigger than the other battery or a different age then the lower one could draw from the bigger one and kill them both. That might take a month or so i'm not sure. but they say if you buy two new batteries the same at the same time then that won't happen. I can't afford 2 new kinetiks so i'll see what it does to my car in the next few days i will know. you can get a pac 200 relay from ebay cheap or i can sell you mine if your worried about it. but i need to see if i'm ok without it first lol. give me a few days.

yes a relay cuts the voltage from front to back battery, so it definetly can't happen then.

ok and then another thing what if i just switch my battery out with a heavy duty yellow top and do the big three with 0 gauge and then up my alternator to a 200 amp one.......would that work
