Which amp is good for that sub you mean? lol Both would work, just not sure about running the cheaper one @ 1 ohm, someone here must know HiFonics, if you can safely!!

Yes those Hifonics amps will run 1 ohm without any problem. I have a 1206D pushing a dual 2 ohm coil 12 inch L7 at 1 ohm and I have a Titan 1505D pushing 2 PPI DCX 124's at 1 ohm. They barely get warm and have never shut down or gone into protection. If you have the money look at the Earthquake PHD 5000, that would be killer on the stroker sub.

fstrfvo, you should post some pics. I'm just curious, you're using focals for you seps, 2 L7's and Hifonics amps? That's something I'd like to see. That must be crazy loud!

I finally went with the 1206d and i'm going to use a 15" L5 i'll just run it a 2 ohms. I also got the zxi6406 for my DLS seps. I've been hearing that Hifonics don't run hot. Can't wait to get it installed...

Let me clarify, My wifes car has 1 12 inch L7 pushed by the 1206D with a eclipse 4 channel pushing Fosgate fanatic Q in front and Oz Audio 6x9 in rear deck with Alpine head unit and XM satellite radio. My car has Focal polyglas 6 1/2 inch in the front doors (165 V1) and 5x7 in rear deck (570 CV1) with a 4 channel Hifonics (ZXI3406) with 2 Precision Power DCX 124's pushed by a Hifonics Titan 1505D amp at 1 ohm.

Hey Electro have you looked at the Boston SPG 555 subs? They have soft part system which allows you ro replace the cone/surround and spider assembly at home. It also has removable voice coils so you can change it out if you want to change impedence or burn it out. A guy I know has some in his f350 truck and they are sick lous but also are so musical its crazy. If I had the $$ id buy some but they are a little out of my range.

CC you have a ford like me so you probably have 6x8 cutouts in the door. I just used the factory mounting spots for my speakers. In my cars when you get the top sound system ford had tweeters in the sail panels in the doors and mid woofers in the 6x8 holes. I just used the same mounting points with a little quiet cote sprayed around the mounting holes. Nothing much to see but its functionial and sounds great. What size speakers do you have in the rear??

I just read that you bought a 1206D going to a L5 15. All I can say is that my 1206 pushes my 12 inch L7 pretty hard but no where near its limits, mine could use a lot more power for sure but my wallet cant afford a bigger amp. What does Pedro run on his Kickers??

Choices are vary scarce here in the philippines so I had to use DLS 5 1/4's seps in the front and DLS 5 1/4 in the rear doors as well. They don't sell 5x7's or 6x8's here. I'm really disappointed with my lack of mid bass. I want to get ride of my DLS 5 1/4's in the rear and put something else. I'm still figuring out what to do. any ideas on what i should put in the back doors?

The only model they sold at the time was the XLT 4x2 model which is the base model with the air suspension. So the sound system wasn't great and unlike yours, mine didn't come with the tweets in the sail panels.

Pedro is only running i think 250 watts but he hit a 135.8 @48hz(burp) and took 1st place in his class Iasca & Db drag. He's got 1 L5 10" and He's using PG 2 M50's but his gain is almost at zero and bass setting on -15.
