Decided to bump up to 15" L7's instead of bothering with the 12's for now. In doing so, of course I'll just build a new box (sold the other already anyway), but I don't think the kx1200.1 will do the trick for (2) 15's. So, I'm looking at either getting the ZX2500.1 or the Orion HCCA-D5000. Prices are comparable on eBay. Never owned an Orion, wondering what you guys had for input on their amps.
in the right box 1200 watts to the 15's will get LOUD. i know a guy with 6 kicker solo 12's on only 1500 watts (MMATS) and he can do mid 40's all day long on stock electrical. i see your in riverview fl, not too far from tampa. you should check out http://www.floridaspl.com/forums/ since your in florida. check the calendar. shows aplenty near us.
Ah cool. What part of Tampa are you in? I never knew where to go to find these local shows like this besides word of mouth. Soon as I get this stuff set up (might take a few weeks), I'll shoot you an email or something. That setup I posted before (with the blown L7 12's) was pushing 145.7. I've always had 12" subs, but I'm just looking for something different.
town n country area near citrus park mall. there is a show on feb 15th in seffner. check out the link i posted and go to calendar.
Might seem like a dumb question, but what the hell is a Bass Race judged on? I've seen a few and no one can explain the system to me. I prefer straight up SPL since it's self explanatory lol.
bass race is simple. its 2 cars going head to head trying to get to a certain score (db level) within 30 seconds. http://www.termpro.com/dbdrag/rules/index.asp?page=3 i do the 129.9 class only cause my current system cant go over a 140 or else i would do the 139.9 class. i system can do a 136 easy so 129.9 is not prob at all. it dosent matter what you have for equipment or how many batts. just that you can get to the spl level of that particular class with out going over.its not as easy as it sounds but it is very fun and competitive.
