I'm what you might call a "monkey with a machine gun" when it comes to this kind of stuff, so I'm hopeful someone can help me out. I have a '98 Caddy de'Ville with a stock radio. The radio allows for a CD changer (which I don't have). I am trying to tie the MP3 cable into the pigtail leading into the radio for the left and right audio signal input to the radio (from the CD changer harness). See the connector diagrams here: https://home.comcast.net/~91winnie/caddy.htm The problem is that the radio does not detect the CD changer, so it is not switching to receive the audio signal from the MP3 player. Can anyone tell me how to "fool" the radio into thinking there is a CD changer so the MP3 audio signal will be recognized? Thanks, Lucky1
haha, good luck with that! Maybe someone here knows cadillacs very well and can tell you. But if you wanted to change the deck and get some proper inputs something like this makes it much easier. http://www.autotoys.com/x/cust/product.php?productid=4274
our shop uses PIE parts. we've never had a problem. same type of integration with the cd changer. http://www.pie.net/
