will this amp blow my 2 Kicker comp 12s?

    I have this amp: http://www.caraudiodeals.com/lanzar-maxp1200-p-4091.html and I want to wire it 2 ohm to my 2 c12s. This should put out about 450 to each sub which is a little above recommended peak (300w). Do you think that Kicker rates these subs low to play it safe, and I could run this without blowing em up?

    That amp will not make 450w RMS per channel...
    If it is put into clipping, then yes it CAN cook your subwoofers. It will not if you set your gains right

    It says on the page 900RMS at 2 ohms? and thats what my box is wired to. so that would be 450 per sub, no?

    the lanzar brand tends to embellish their ratings. thats why it won't do 900 @ 2 ohms. not out of a 68 dollar amp anyways.

    what is the maximum you are willing to spend on an amp and the wiring involved?

    i woudlnt touch that amp with a 100' stick...60 for 1800 wats rms is bs. that has to be the dirtiest power you could even imagine.
