What's up, this is my first post. i think yall got a great forum and its helped me a lot in some of my decisions Anyway.. Im looking to purchase two 6.5" Polk Audio MMC6500 component speakers in the front for my 4runner. And 5.25" Polk Audio db5250 component speakers for the rear. However, it says i need 6.75 speakers for the front. And they dont make the MMC6500 in 6.75". This is actually a three-part question: Would the 6.5" still fit my fronts? And if they do...are these speakers good speakers for my needs? i listen to mostly rap and rock. and im running two 12" W3v3's in a sealed box. And if the are good...lol...then what 4-channel amp for a pretty decent price should i be using. Thanks! zach
do you or anyone else know of any good 6.75" speakers that would compare to the Polk's. It'd probably be easiest to get the size required. ha. juuust in case and also a good 4-channel amp for all this
Just get some 1/4 inch masonite, then trace out your factory speaker onto it... then center up your new speaker onto it, then trace it out....cut it all out...there ya go!!
plus masonite is cheap, i got a huge sheet of 3/8" masonite at home depot for like 15 bucks, enough to do about 25 baffles.
my polk 6.5 coaxials came with an adaptor for a larger door opening.did your's.or do you not have them yet?
