will kicker amp not work if cover is off or lose? I have ben having problems with my kx500.2. It would work for a while on and off and now it seam if you drive for about 1.5 hours it will kick on then for a few seconds. When I was checking it out the power light was on and every thing looked to be conected but I noticed all the srews vibrated out of cover and you can pull it right off. is there any safty devise that would prevent the amp from working if this happens?
Not usually any safety on a cover......BE SURE NON OF THE SCREWS ARE ON THE CIRCUIT BOARD!!!!!! Little bits of metal on a board will cause smoke, and amps dont like to give off smoke!!!! Inspect it with an eagle eye!!!!!
