I am looking for one 10" sub for under $200 because my mustang's trunk opening is very small. this is the amp: Car Audio wholesale distributor Alpine Pioneer Kicker Clarion Hifonics Kenwood Boss - Ikesound.com - Profile Ap 1000M here are my current prospects, whish is the best? 1) Rockford Fosgate P3D410 Punch Stage 3 10'' subwoofer with dual 4-ohm voice coils at Crutchfield.com 2) JL Audio 10W3v2 ( 10W3v2D4 ) - 10" W3V2 Series Subwoofer • Dual 4 Ohm • 300W RMS • Elevated Frame Technology • VRC Technology • Rubber Mounting Flange Gasket • Dished Cone/Dust-Cap Design - , Component Subwoofers, 10" Component Subwoofers - Sonic Ele 3) Polk Audio MOMO MM2104DVC - 10" Dual 4 ohms MOMO Series Subwoofer • 300W RMS • 600W Peak • dish cone design • flat NOMEX spider • stamped steel basket • anti-resonance trim gasket • nickel plated locking push terminals • sensitivity: 86dB - , Compone more suggestions are welcome. the music being played will range from rap to metal
if that amp is going to push 600 plus watts.you may want to look into a sub with a bit more power handleing. or find a 4 ohm sub with an rms of around 400 or so.also what about a box for said woofer?
I can vouch for the w3v3. that'll sound good. I don't know about the other ones. theres no good reason to get a version 2. the v3's use the same tech as the w7's.
what about the infinity kappa or kappa perfects, they any good? someone suggested to me for the o series elemental designs,Elemental Designs but theres a lot of criticism about the company, is it a bad choice?
the criticism you hear about the company is from years ago...they are up and good now. I am buying there 19Ov.2 this week and already have a Nine.1 amp from them. How many other companies do you see out there with a 5 YEAR WARRANTY!!! that ED sub will take that amp fine
well the order is about to be placed, probably tomorrow, the money is in the bank and waiting to be spent. I have read reviews on these infinity perfects and they are mostly good Infinity Kappa Perfect 10d VQ Subwoofers, then this amp: Car Audio wholesale distributor Alpine Pioneer Kicker Clarion Hifonics Kenwood Boss - Ikesound.com - Profile Ap 1000M, this box: Sonic Sub Box: 1H10-0.7 - Single 10" Hatchback MDF Enclosure • Holds one 10" subwoofer • 3/4 MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard) Construction • Durable black carpeting • Gold Terminals • Internal Box Volume: 0.749 cubic ft. - , Subwoofer Enclosures, Angl, and this wire (comes at a $60 tag) Kicker CK4 - 4 Gauge 2-Channel Complete Amp Kit • 20' 4 AWG Power Wire • 3' 4 AWG Ground Wire • 20' 16 AWG Remote Lead • 5M (16.5') 2-Channel RCA Cables • 40' 16 AWG Speaker Wire • 100A ANL Fuse and Holder - , Car Installation & Accessories, Amplifie
I had kappas.. I loved them, They don't hit the hardest, but they sound the cleanest. I love them with all sorts of music.
thats what i was looking for with my range of music, rap to metal, hopefully it works out someone said that 2 ohm subs will get more out of the amp by using the amp's 2 ohm output power, but i the kappa is dual 4 ohms. i read this somewhere: "Both voice coils wired in parallel. This is the ideal load for many subwoofer mono amplifiers. In the case of a dual 4 ohm subwoofer, this would produce a 2 ohm load." does that mean that i will be getting that 2 ohm added power from the amp?
i finally got that garbage installed, infinity perfect 10 dvq, profile ap1000m amp, and a kicker ck4 wiring kit, and it sounds primo
ill take a picture soon but its nothing special but a grey box with a silver circle of a subwoofer in it, and a silver amp screwed to the floor of the trunk
