my buddy has two ascendant audio chaos's that i was going to throw into my sisters car and i was just curious which amp should i look into getting? oh and there the dual 1ohm.
i plan on running them both to a single amp at a 1ohm load on the amp. so i was thinking of the sundown 1500 but i was just curious to see what other people have set up. or how much power they can handle all day.
i know some guys that run double the rms to thier AAs, but to be on the safe side id stick to just a little over the rms to overcome impedance rise and what not. assuming you know what that is. sundown makes a great amp. with literally hundreds of sub amps out there. stick with what you know, or read up one what people use in competition. i run Elemental designs amps. cause at the time they were on sale, and the power output fit my system. also they are rated at 12v not 14v. what kind of budget do you have? how good is your electrical system in your vehicle? what kind of system do you want? ground pounder, SQ, reg everyday set up? will you be competing with it?
well for now i think ima run a solid audio f11d. and just give them both about 550watts rms. and eventually look into a sundown 2500. my electrical is completly stock thats why im not gonna just throw in a huge amp and expect my alt and stuff to handle it. no rush with this build so ima just take my time and shop around. and budget? like i said ima take my time but looking to spend around 1000. and after i get my box built and the chaos's in my truck(ima use them now) with my electrical all upgraded and a solid amp then i plan on competing. oh and anyone know the retail on a brand new chaos from the factory?
