Hello, new guy here. Not a big audiophile but I do enjoy listening to my music. Anyway, I've decided to get rid of my sub as my car is becoming more of a track car and I rarely ever make use of it anymore. Im currently running Focal Polyglass 130v2 components up front. I previously bought some CDT CL-69 woofers for the rear deck but Im not too happy with them. Seems like I get more bass out of my front Focal components and way more SQ.

So I want to upgrade the 6x9s to something with a bit more bass and SQ. I've kind of narrowed it down to either the Focal Polyglass or Rainbow Soundline 6x9s. Of these two which would you guys suggest?

BTW, Im powering the speakers with an Alpine MRP-F550 4x90w @ 4ohm amp if it makes any difference.

    Thanks.

Just wondering what kind of car you have? The two that you picked are very good speakers. I'm kinda anal so I would go with the focal but the rainbow are also very good speakers.

Hard choice. why do you want to go with 6x9's?

Yea stick with the Focals, I have Focals and they really sound great with any kind of music.

Its a e36 M3. The rear deck originally has holes for 4" speakers but I bought an adapter to put 6x9s there. What do you guys think about Tang Bands?

I heard tang bands were very good too. I usually hear people using them when they go active. I've never listened to them though.

Yea I've been looking at those Tang Bands but Im not sure if they'll fit my adapters. I've read thier shape is a bit different from most 6x9s.

What if I throw the Polk Audio DB691 into the mix? They have a wider frequency response of 35-22,000 Hz compared to 50-20,000 Hz for the Focals.

Also does anyone know the difference between the Focal Polyglass CV1 and CVX? The specs look the same.
