Sub crossed at 65Hz, with an 18Db crossover. Kodas crossed at 50Hz with 18Db slope as well. I may cross the Kodas lower yet as they haven't issues any cries of distress. They are seeing their full 100WRMS, clipped 2:1.
high/lowpass at 80 Hz, then I have high pass passives on my tweets at 3500 and low pass on the mids to band pass them at the same frequency. Then I have an about -3 Db attenuation on the tweets courtesy of an L-pad and a notch filter at 5,000 on the tweets due to an interesting resonance. I have my EQ set to flat, bass boost off, loudness off methinks thats it.
Damn I neeed someone to come over and fuck around with the setting on my 7893. It seems that Im changing the settings almost everyday to make it sound best. I guess Im just another lost soul
I leave most of the settings on my 7894 (almost the same as the 7893) flat. I'll turn the treble up or down every once in a while depending on the music. The only thing i mess with is the HPF and sometimes the time correction.
LPF stays set at 80hz and for no aparent reason i use my 15hz subsonic filter. I change my HPF according to what im listening to. With most hiphop, i set it at 120. Midbass aint all that important with most hiphop because the subbass overpowers everything anyway. With the more easy going hiphop and R&B i set it at 80hz. When i'm listening to some good soul music, my Micheal Jackson collection, or my Dave mathews collection, then i'm set at 60-65hz.
