Whats up with 4x10s?

    they should compare with 6x8's and like sized speakers.

    roughly the same cone area,give or take a few sq inches.

    would the fact that they're so stretched out affect the sound? sorry for asking such weird questions I just wanna know:)

    i dont think they will pound out the bass,but thats why we have subs.lol.

    as mids they should sound the same as a 6x8,5x7 or 6.5s

    the area for the following speakers was calculated with the cones being flat and not concave...all in sq. inches....all "oval" speakers calculated as being a ellipse
    18=254.47
    15=176.72
    12=113.10
    10=78.54
    8=50.27
    6x9=42.41
    7=38.48
    6x8=37.70
    6.5=33.18
    4x10=31.12
    5x7=27.49
    5.25=21.65
