Well...my speedometer stops at 100mph. but near my house there is a 4 mile bridge that is empty at night. i have no clue how fast i was going......but it was WELL over the 100mph mark. Just for reference though. My buddies Camaro cuts off at 115mph and at the point where his cut off....i was still gaining speed pretty quick.
3rd gen? um I've been 129 in a grand prix, but ive had my car up to 105 before I started freaking out. T-tops whistling is scary... you get going so fast they howl.
My buddies camaro is a 4th gen. I have a 2nd gen Trans Am At the track...my cars top speed in the 1/4 is 109 mph But my time was not that great. i have weak bottom end. Which means the first half of the track is slow.....but that second half....i double my speed. Damn 3.08 gears
it really sucks because i know guys that have a top speed of 95mph....and they run 12's. And my car gets to 100+ and i'm only running 14's. Have you ever taken your car to the Track OEJ?
I once travelled at 215mph.... on the Thalis high speed train between Brussels and Paris. In a car, it was about 125 when my dad was racing an E30 BMW 6 cylinder cabrio in his Alfa Romeo Spider 2.0 TS.... We were racing open top, and even with the windcatch behind the seats your face gets stretched out by the wind! Fastest I've driven myself wasn't really fast, since I'm still on an apprentice - driver's license. Get caught = no license untill you're 25.... ouch! So 90mph where I was only allowed to do 50 was pretty quick IMHO, seen the circumstances.
i've taken my car up to 129 on a long straight up north(MN) but then a curve came, lucky a bear didn't want to cross the road. hehe
I have been 110 in my 69 Nova. It began to shack pretty bad so I let out. I did go 135 in a mustang. It was so smoothe and fun.
