I was wondering which is more stress on an amp 2 or 4 ohm loads? When I wire up two 2-0hm load subs i get light diming on bass hits, two 4 ohm loads nothing not even a slight flicker? Whats up.

Lower the load the more stress

So what if something is set up like

    Impedance: 2 or 8 ohms

ok slow, lets say you have a 100 watt amp.50x2 at 4 ohms is the norm.at 8ohms the amp would see a higher load and put out only half its rated power.....i.e-25x2......but at 2ohm's it see's a lower load and technicly would put out twice it's rated power.100x2.that usually wont happen.so lets say 75watts x2.

so lower impedances(ohm's)make an amp work harder to give you more power.
