I have been running two pioneer 12's with a lanzar vibrant series 800 2 chan. Well my buddy is selling his truck and doesn't want his JL w3v3's in his ws6 so he sold them both to me for $150. Only problem the are the W3V38's aka 8 ohm. He ran a JL 500/1, I hooked them up to my Lanzar and bridged and split but them don't sound very good need advice on an AMP.

    Setup:

    2000 Toyota Tacoma
    Stock Head
Some kind of rear speaker to av conversion
    JL W3V38 x2
    Lanzar Vibrant 800x2

so you need an amp with more power into a 4 ohm mono load right?

what does your amp do into a 4 ohm load in mono?

well it looks like it can do at least 600 watts into a 4 ohm mono load.

that should be close to the 500/1's power output. so maybe your subs are not wired correctly.

Okay I have let my truck sit on a battery charger over night and when I got up it sounded great I think my battery is going bad and I think my box is way too small.

well then have your batt tested and see for sure if its bad.

how big is the box? if it sounded great why do you think the box is too small?

I kinda exaggerated alot, I thought it sounded good, and it did for about 10min of driving. Then they like lost power and when I turn them down they make a buzzing noise. oh ya the other day I left my amp on for about 5 hours and when I got out to my truck the subs were hittin in a series like dot dot dot I didnt even have the key in it

ooo a buzzing noise? thats not good. my old kicker sub started that.

it still played and pounded hard but at low vol had that buzzing sound.

someone told me on of the coils is going bad(unwinding?) but will still work for a while.
