Over the years I have gathered a few amps and other things that have broken one way or another. They are not great amps and probably not even good, but I got them when I was in college and had no money. The amps I have are a couple of Blaupunkt amps (a small 40x2 amp and a bigger 160 watt bridged amp) and an Altec Lansing 2 channel power amp. The power LEDs on these amps come on, but they produce no sound. I am not sure what is wrong with them. I also have some Cerwin Vega tweets from an old comp set and an old Altec Lansing crossover that some guy stole from a Lowes theatre. Anyway, I don't want this stuff anymore and before I throw it out I wanted to see if it had a use to anyone here. Maybe the amps have some useful parts??? If anyone wants this stuff for free, then let me know. Otherwise it is getting chunked with the Monday garbage.
Well, it would be sad to just throw the stuff away. If you want to give it to someone, i'll take it. I'm sure i could make use of the tweeters, and dead amps are fun to play with.
Ebay man. Just make sure to list the items as they are. Someone will likely pick them up for a few dollars. Enough to make it worth your time at least.
That's a good idea, but I'd rather give this stuff to someone here so they could mess around with them and *gasp* possibly fix them!! I am just a niiiiiiiiiice guy. gonz, if you want the stuff, it's all yours. PM me your address and I will ship it out sometime this week. I'll even front the shipping because I am so niiiiiiiiiiiiice.
OK, all the stuff has been accounted for - Austin gets one of the Blau amps and gonz gets the rest. Hope you guys can use this stuff somehow, but I am just glad someone is going to try and do something with it.
