How can i find out what size speakers i need for a 95 GMC Sonoma extended cab. Also how many do i need? Someone told me to just put 2 door speakers in and you will be fine. I'm buying speakers on a budget 100$ tops just for speakers. One more question will i need an amp for these speakers i mean im not getting top of the line high powered speakers or nothing.. I'm going to be buying a decent deck in the 150-170 range so that should supply them enough right?
Well according to Crutchfield there are many speaker sizes that can fit your car but mainly I would stick with 6.5 inch or 5.25 inch coaxial speakers. My first system was a budget system with a 150 dollar Alpine deck (still have it and it sounds great). With four 5.25 inch Pioneer 2-way speakers (front doors and rear deck). These cost me 25 bucks a set at Best Buy (I have a friend who works there and got me a discount lol) They sounded wonderful and the deck was more than enough power to get some good volume out of them.
Should i just put 2 6 1/2 speakers in and call it good? That probly wouldnt work good unless i got an amp for them because the deck im probly going to get will only put out about 4v a speaker.
If i got 2 6 1/2s id probly get the Infinity Reference 6012i 6-1/2" 2-Way 180W Car Speakers, would a 4 or 5 volt deck beable to power these enough to here over a 12inch L7
What do you mean 4 or 5 volt deck??? most decks put out between 16-20 WATTS rms. What deck are you buying??
That headunt is a good piece...its rated at 22 watts rms per channel...which should be fine for a couple pairs of speakers. The preout voltage is not really a concern as all amps have a gain knob to match the levels between the amp and head unit
