Hey Im new to the forum and I wanted to see what some of you guys thought about the new setup I picked up. I paided $1200 for everything including the 0 awg wiring. The only thing Ill probably end up replacing is the speakers when I have the money. But there fine for now they were cheap and Ive been reading review on them and I havent read anything bad about them yet. Also all of this will be in a '99 ford explorer. Heres my setup, Headunit: Clarion FZ409 Equalizer: Clarion EQS746 Subs: 2 JL Audio 12w6v2's wired to 2ohms individually Box for subs: 2.5 cu. ft. sealed box built to JL specs Amps for subs: 2 JL Audio 500/1's one for each sub Speakers: Hifonics ZXi 683 front and rear Amp for speakers: JL Audio 300/4
Sounds sweet... I have two JL 12w4 subs in a sealed box...Soon to be running off a Kenwood Class D mono amp...My front (polk momo 6.5 sep) and rear (Infinity 5.25 coax) will be running off of a 450/4 JL amp...HU currently is an Alpine 9856 and I just got a Visonik 1/3 octave EQ... What kinda bikes do you ride? Willy
Thanks, your setup sounds nice also. I was thinking about selling my 300/4 and picking up a 450/4 but i dont have the extra money right now. And I ride BMX.
Off topic, but i used to ride BMX too. I started out on an old Dyno Comp lol, then I moved into Hoffman bikes, then the last bike i rode was a Redline Park. It was sweet, Alex rims, custom hubs with all sealed bearings, sealed BB, and a sweet S&M seat. Oh, it was dark metallic green and blue. sounds ugle but was soooo sweet! I miss it.
Thats awesome man. Ive had so many bikes its rediculous. My last bike that I had that I just sold cost me $1800. I was spending way too much money thats why I sold it for now. Ill get a new one when its starts to get nice out though.
O I C Here are my bikes... The top one is a 1987 Kawasaki ZL1000...It has 63,000 miles on it...Seat was re-done and I removed the back rest, shortened rear turn signals, put shorter straighter handlebars on it and different mirrors The bottom one is a 1986 Kawaski ZL900 Eliminator...23,000 miles on it
