Boy are you asking a hell of a question. It all depends on what YOU consider a good price. You may be able to afford more or less than us. Also what components are you considering, HU, amps, Speakers or subs. But ill give you my opinion anyway but of course you will get a 1000 different responses.

Speakers: Infinity, Oz audio, Boston, Crystal sound, Polk audio
Subs : Kicker L7, Oz Audio powers, Boston G5, Alpine type X, Infinity perfects, Aluma pro

Amps : Crossfire, Mtx, Eclipse, Bostons, Hifonics, Soundstream, Phoenix gold,Kicker

HU I would only buy Eclpise or Alpine.
of course the question you should ask is What should I NOT buy.

Yep, it all sucks, some just more than others!

when talking quality audio equipment from larger name manufactures, and even some smaller ones, It boils down to what sounds best to YOUR ears, not the salesmans or the guy acrooss the street.


But, what the hell i will throw out a list of equipment that I think doesnt suck as bad as other equipment!
