I plan on buying only 1 Rockford Punch P1652S component set. This is going in a truck.http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/products/product_details.asp?cat_id=3&series_id=33&family_id=28&item_id=112892&locale=en_US&p_status=

I dont really remember what im looking for when it comes to buying an amp to match it, so ill need some help. Do I need a 2 or 4-channel amp? Im looking to buy a Rockford amp to go with it.

Side note- I also need some subs. Space is limited. Should I buy 2 smaller amps....1 for the components and 1 for subs?....or would 1 bigger multi channel amp work?

    Thanks.

ok, if you have the space i would do 2 amps. one 2 ch for mids/highs,and one for the sub/s.

if you dont have any space then an all in one amp will do i.e 4 or 5 ch amp.

what kind of power are you looking for. balls out loud or everyday good/great sounding with a decent amount of power?

the p4004 seems to have the power to run the whole set up. a pair of tens on 300 watts(from the rear ch) in a truck(sealed will sound real nice)

Im gonna install 2 10" P3's (shallow mounts). Theyre rated at 300 RMS. Im not sure how loud it will be with those subs, but hopefully it will give me some nice and tight bass. I only have room for shallow mount subs in my single cab truck.

Also....im gonna install those 6.5" components in the doors. Probably the tweeters in the doors also. I have dash speaker locations that are currently empty. Should I install 4x6 coaxials in there or dont bother?

    Thanks.

i mounted some 4x6 plates in my dash to bring my sound stage up off the floor. it cant hurt and you'll get a lil more power from the amp,and yes 150 per sub is just fine

Ok...so I have 1 set of components. Theyre rated at 100 RMS watts. Im not sure if thats means 100 RMS watts fed into each crossover or what? Any idea what amp ill need (power wise)?

    Thanks.
