been looking for a good mp3/wma player ever since september not only because ive converted my whole collection(300 cd's worth) and because the phony was...well...a phony...anyhow..i just picked up an Alpine CDA9311...its nice as hell...i love it...the sq is alot better...and it looks alot better...i now can safely say...i cant ever use a regular cd player again(even my portable has mp3 capability!)...not to mention anything other then an alpine for a HU... F*** Sony!!
Your Alpine HU is better than your Xplode HU...you don't say! I'm not much of a MP3 fan, but I am a big Alpine fan. If someone says you should buy HU based on features, because they all sound the same, should listen to a Sony then move over to an Eclipse, Alpine, or my trusty econo-HU Pioneer. They don't just "transfer the signal from CD to amp/speaker" and that's it. "Stuff" happens between point A and point B. The less "stuff" the better.
