Okay I want to make a box for one 12" subwoofer but it can't be complicated like that T-design or I'll never get it done... I want it to hit lows and I want it to be loud... anything is better than my closed box I have now... the height can be like a little over 1ft. maybe 14 in. max. the length and width can only be 3ft max. here's a little picture I drew up to help you out. I guess I'm goin for ported here... I need the design by monday morning so me and my friend can build it and stuff. Thanks so much!

How about a box that measures 14-inches tall, 32-inches wide and finally 15-inches deep. That should work

Now lets make the port 12-1/2-inches tall by 2-1/4-wide. Make the length around 12-inches long.

the only box building program i know of is the RE one.

that site says that would be tuned to 37hz. is that right? and a vol of 2.7 cu ft.

I was just estimating but that should be pretty close. I figured that a 12-inch woofer in a 2.5 to 2.75 Cu Ft box will get me the really low hit that most of us want.

Tuning around 38 to 40 Hz will get me the volume that we want. This box should perform very well for most 12-inch woofers

Is the port actually going to be a vent?

i suggest multiple poorly and randomly placed dry wall screws.

L brackets and screws should work.

Lol, okay. How would you do that same vent design for 2 12s instead of one?

To keep my box from sliding around in my trunk, i was too lazy to install things, so i was looking for a quick fix. I eventually put some velcro (the rough part of velcro, since it has two sides if you know what i mean)on the bottom of my box, like four pieces, one in each corner. that fixed my problem

I like that design, its simple and its easy to build. For two 12-inch woofers the box needs to be bigger. So, lets go with a box that is 36-inches wide, 14-inches tall and 18-inches deep. The port will be 12.5-inches tall and 2.5 inches wide. Finally port length will be 14-inches.
