I am thinking about buying an in dash DVD system but I want to be able to watch it whenever, not when just in park. It is a parking disable feature on a Jensen VM9311TS. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/viewitem.php?id=7880&affiliate=cnet# If you go down a bit and see the back of the unit, you'll see the red wire labeled "parking" I am sure it is a simple wiring issue but I want to know how easy it is.
well viking had answered a question like this he said that all you do is put a switch on the ground wire or atleast i believe so someone correct me if im wrong but im pretty positive though
all ya gotta do is put a kill switch on that wire. Or just ground it out. i grouned mine out and it works all the time.
yep, kind of like putting a remote start in a car with a manual tranny, and not having the proper lockouts installed!!! "I will ALWAYS remember to keep it in neutral with the e brake set" was the customers reply................We had them sign an waiver drawn up by a lawyer... 2 weeks later, the truck started in gear and drove into the guys garage door , hitting his wifes car....lots of nice damage!!!!! Dumbass........... Of course, watching a dvd AND driving drunk would be the epitome of stupididty, Then we get into single cell bacteria having a higher IQ......
yeah its either drive or watch a movie.not both.why would you anyways.it's just not a smart thing to do.
I'm gonna write that down, I have idiot customers come in all the time and ask us to bypass the safety. I won't do it. Even my own truck has a safety in place. I know, I put it in. And It Works. I just cannot fathom how stupid people can be. Why in the world would someone wanna watch a movie and drive. These people must be completely brain dead.
I will just let my "puppy dog" max do it in place of the trunk monkey......Of sourse, not having the fingers of a monkey.......perhaps if i can just get him to bite the jugular and let the SOB bleed out, I am ok with that, i have a carpet cleaning machine....
I like to listen to movies, like stand up comedy or things like that, I wouldn't really watch it. Ill probally end up with a dvd reciever.
ah just get one with a screen and ground the e brake so you can play while driving. If you get into an accident though don't blame me. LOL Seriously though, it was done when i had my JVC installed but the only time i put DVD's on is when my 2 daughters are in the car (for their cartoons) and no, i don't watch it. Even though most of the driving here is at 25 to 35mph i would NEVER talk my eyes off the road.
