wanting to try turning subwoofer around in trunk?!

I've been wondering about turning my subwoofer around in my trunk i've
never had that on any of my cars, the speaker always looked to the back of the car vs towards the front.... my new car has this port that looks into the inside (between back seats) my rear deck rattles annoyingly while my trunk is completely dynamated and has no rattles..... sooo my question is, is there a point to turning it around? will bass sound different (since its now routed into the car directly?! will i possibly lose some of the rear deck rattle? please let me know pros/cons suggestions
