Dumb question but here goes. I have 10 dual 4 ohm voice coil subs. Depending on how I run them I can create a 1 ohm or 4 ohn load. Do I have to use both VC on each speaker? Can I use only one from each speaker to create a 2 ohm load and use my 2 ohm stable mono amp? I like my amp and dont necessarily need a divorce.
running a DVC sub with one VC is not a good thing. THe speaker was engineered to be run both both coils driven. It will change the charactoristics of the sub within a given enclosure in the mechanical and electrical realm. I do not recommend it personnally.
they show you how to do up to 4 subs on this website idk if it will help you or not. http://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/woofer_configurations.asp?Q=4&I=42
