(Video question) Getting board off head sinks

    Those are power transistors. They are the main output components. The white paste is a thermal conductive compound to transfer heat to the heat sinks. They are probably just stuck there a bit, but look for screws elsewhere.

    You can see under the board with a flashlight all the way through. You can see all the casing for the screws and there all out. Those transistors have small holes on the ends that i can easily stick a hook in to pull them up a bit, ill try that.

    Yeah, be careful not to lift too high 'cause the transistor legs could break. And that compound is messy stuff so try not to get it on you. Also make sure there is compound under each one when replacing or you risk them burning out. It's like a CPU on a computer. You must have a thin film of compound between the chip and the heat sink.

    Yeah, I just found the place today. I used to be a big contributor on Yahoo Answers, but pretty much stopped that.

    Aye, got it out nice and smooth. Now i just need that damn cap to come in that's been on back order for a week >.>

    Yeah, I'm not a total idiot (some of those parts are on backorder too).
