Upgrading my sound system, suggestions?

To start off, I don't really know alot about sound systems and have only started learning a little about them. A few weeks ago I replaced my Mitsubishi Montero Sport's speakers with Rockfords, and my friend sold me his 2 12" Insignia Subwoofers and his 4-Channel Alpine Amp for $200. It has pretty decent bass, but I really want to work more towards a more loud and powerful bass. I was considering buying another subwoofer, getting a way better amp, or getting a new pair of subwoofers and better amp and selling the old sub and amp.

This is the model that is listed on my Amp, and he specifically told me it was a 4channel (I'm not sure what a 4 channel is used for or the difference from a 2channel) but i'm pretty sure this is it:

For the subwoofer, i've found videos and pages that look excactly like my subwoofers so maybe you guys can leech some info of these pages:

I have no idea how much my amp gives to the subwoofer and don't know how much it can take cause i'm not too good with all this watt, ohms, rms stuff. I'm not sure what's best to do so that's why I came for help. So, what do you guys suggest for an upgrade? Another pair of subs, a more powerful amp, or an upgrade for both? Other suggestions are always welcome to. If you have anymore questions for me just ask them here.

Yeah keep the amp to power those speakers that you used to replace the stock ones. Give us a budget and somebody will get you a good setup.

I want a system that will be loud and has some decent bass to shake the car. I am looking for 300-500, but it takes over the budget that I guess I could save up more. Seeing as I already have spent 450 for the speakers and sub+amp it's getting tiresome putting so much into a system, but i'm willing to put in to my budget. I am going to sell the insignia subs but keep the amp to power the speakers. I've been asking random forums in this is only the second that replied, the one one confused me alot with info. This is what they suggested me:

    Subs:
    (x2) http://www.woofersetc.com/p8144/REF...uot;-Dual-2-Ohm-OEM-Tidal-Audio-Subwoofer.htm

    Amp:
    http://www.crutchfield.com/S-mg6hOeVZTbn/p_020DPX1155/Clarion-DPX11551.html?tp=115

Not sure what they meant for a box, but looking for other budgetable setups if this one isn't that good.

Any way you could make your own box? You'd probably only need 1 sheet of MDF ($35) and Lowes or wherever will generally cut the pieces for you so you'd only have to glue it and screw it. So you could build your own box ported correctly (with help from azn or somebody probably) for under $50 most likely. What type of car will these be going in? And do you have an aftermarket radio?

I got some time so I'll post up a few different setups for you.

    Option 1:
    (2) eD 11Ov.2 Subs. I have a single of these 10" subs in my car and it shakes the rearview mirror.
    (1) Power Acoustik BAMF-2000D (be careful with the gains)
Knukonceptz Complete 4 ga Wiring (I'd recommend this for all the setups)
This setup would be $350 plus shipping and would bang real nice.

    Option 2:
    (1) 12" Kicker Solo Classic
    (1) Power Acoustik BAMF-2000D (again be careful with the gains)
This would be $360 plus shipping

I could come up with some more but if you'd answer those questions I asked then I can narrow it down a little easier.
