Am trying to put a head unit into a uk 2000 model corrolla. Got the console out and got the old unit out but the fascia doesnt seem to fit right. Its an autoleads fp11-00. Any ideas how to fit it right.? or is it the wrong part?
Its the corolla with the bump in the dash for the radio display and control. And the tape deck is down at the bottom of the centre console with a pocket below

Part looks a bit like this only there isnt a din sized slot for the unit

Didn't the Corolla have the radio located just under the AC vents? What do you have just under the AC vents.

This is where I like to put the radio. If you use factory Toyota Radio brackets for that car and Iso mount it to your radio, it will fit there. There are only a few exceptions. Those exceptions will be some flip face radios. In those cases, file the holes in the brackets and space the radio forward.

I am not familiar with your kit, however the Metra Kit (I think the # is 99-3413) does not fit well either.

I would consider puting the radio under the vents and locate the pocket that goes where your cassette and pocket are now.
