getting a poweracoustik stax 1600/4 amp

    pushes @ 4ohm 150RMS x4
    and 2ohm 180rmsx4
now the speakers i have are 65RMS and 270 max each x4

now i know that this amp prob isnt great quality and wont puch the full RMS
but does anyone think this is way to much power for my speakers to handle ?
    i listen to LOUD tunes.
speakers are 6x9 pioner 3 ways and 5.25 mtx thunder domes.

When ever you have a new topic, please start your own thread.

Now you should be OK as long as you pay attension of how your speakers sound. As long as they sound natural you should be fine.

I've used Power Acoustic in the past and I have had good luck with them

Yes, to get it right adjust your amp correctly. Turn your bass and treble on your radio to 0. Now turn the gain on your amp all the way down and Then turn your volume on your radio to about 2/3s of the way up.

Now turn up the gain on the 5.25s. Turn it up until they start to sound bad, then back off a little until they sound good. Mark that position and turn it all the way down

Now adjust the 6x9s, the same way. Once you got it right, turn up the gain on the 5.25s to the previously marked position

I'm not a big fan of High Pass, however, on the 5.25s you might wanna use the lowest setting you have

Have fun, it will sound good
