alright ive been a member 4 a while jus havent looged in. Welli can say i know some what of car audio i was jus wondering the whole ohm thing well i have 2 kicker l5 10's 4 voice coiland i was looking at some amps the whole 900x2 at 2 ohms was jus confusing so if some 1 can put it in easier terms it would help me out alot thankx
you have choices of either a final load of 1, 4, or 16 ohms mono for stereo you have a choice of either 2 or 8 ohms
i have one of those subs.it rocks! so what coils do you have?duel 4's or 2's.i know you said you have 4 coils but,i'm not sure if you meant duel 4's or what.
^^yes what he said^^.also you wrote 900x2.the 900 is peak watts per sub, rms(contiuous)is 450watts. i was giving mine around 220 watts rms and it had a ton of output, but it has to be in the right box. the box is the most important part of your sub stage.
^^he's lying^^ the box doesn't matter...as long as the box has 5 sides it will sound awesome....the open side will allow the sub to breath properly and make more sound
so would this mono amp b 2 much power MA Audio HK1000D 1000W Digital Mono Block Amplifier Power Output @ 14.4V DC: 1 x 400 Watts RMS @ 4 Ohms, 1 x 500 Watts RMS @ 2 Ohms, 1 x 800 Watts RMS @ 1 Ohm Power Output @ 17.0V DC: 1 x 500 Watts RMS @ 4 Ohms, 1 x 800 Watts RMS @ 2 Ohms, 1 x 1000 Watts RMS @ 1 Ohm DimensionsL x W x H): 18.75" x 9.75" x 2" 12v - 17v DC Power Input Adjustable RCA Gain Control Selectable Low (.1v -2v) and High (2v - 8v) Silver Plated RCA Line Input/Output Silver 4 Gauge Power & 8 Gauge Speaker Connections Frequency Response 15 Hz - 150 Hz 24 dB Variable Subsonic Filter 24 dB Variable Low Pass Filter Remote Gain Control Knob 0 - 18 dB Variable Bass Boost Control 0 - 180 Degree Selectable Phase Control Short/Thermal/Overload Protection Circuitry Strappable with a 2nd Class D Amplifier 2 Ohm Stable (4 Ohm when Strapped)
so 2 look 4 an amp the best way 2 look 4 one is looking 4 450x2 @2omh 900X1 @1 ohm or wat do i look 4 2 power my tens wats the whole x1 x2 deal that **** bugging me
you could use a sundown SAE-1000, i think that ill push the 2 10s really nice, youll be giving em bout 500-550 per sub
with my box.220 was pushing my 10 really nice.350 was beating the **** out of it,but it took it just fine. to get the most power out of what ever amp you get.a 1ohm load will do it.thats all the +'s wired together and all the -'s wired together. Series Parallel Speaker Impedance this site may help.
