Ok, here we go! I want everyone in here to name the best amp, and WHY...... Not because it slams hard or makes your 18 incher launch into next year, or because your girlfriend likes the way it makes her, well.......get juicy, define the best amp in your opinion...I am curious, IU have been out of the industry for over 10 years and want some honest opinions. power output dynamic range current draw noise frequency response dampning factor thermal dissipation how musical is it whats the limits etc............. speak your mind!!!!
Us Amps DE-1000. Hold up its own and then some Underrated for competition reasons 2000 watts at 1 ohm (specs only listed it at 1000 at 1 ohm) 1 ohm stable obviously and on yea i have one hahaha
yea Caddy Us Amps do make some awesome amps. I forgot all about them. You said you got one, just wondering what subs you got hooked up to it? What do you think of MMATS amps??
old school pheonix gold m44.is 4ch.has built xover, and sub out xover with remote vol 4 the sub.very quiet.has good head room.is VERY flexible.i.e 1 ohm stable in stereo 2 ohm mono stable.had this amp wired in EVERY way possible never shut down on me EVER.had 8 speakers hooked to it at once running whole system.still have it running front doors at 2ohm mono for midbass.there mind spoken.lol
PPI art series Zed Audio produced ESX amps Why? Great SQ amps that can hammer cleanly, tons of a/b power and no superwatt but poor sq digital stuff.
Viking.. what have you done? I like the macintosh stuff (just like everybody) us amps _yes, caddy old orion and soundstream and fosgate love the jbl (the ones that are made by crown) new stuff poo poo Oh, and xplod. not that they're good.. just like to watch them live up to the name!
"live up to the name" NICE HAHA!!!!! In todays mobile enviorment, i have yet to hear ANYTHING that sounds as if its not even there like the old Orion XTR's, HCCA's and SX's. For sheer versatility, dyanamic range, and musical qualities, they couldnt be beat. efen by todays standards. ( granted i have not heard all the newer stuff) Think this winter when i have some down time, I am gunna build some reference speakers for critical listening, nothing loud. Just for the enjoyment of listening to music. Then i will get a few amps from different manufacturers (from buddies) and hook them up using a reference power supply and source unit. See what sounds best to me. RIght now i could compare Rockford, Fusion, Orion,, and memphis...... Used to do that years ago. Always was ONE consistant winner.
