ok, as some of you know....i bought a 4Ohm DVC powerbass 10" sub to test out for a potential semi-wall i was going to build......little bastard hit pretty decent for a cheap 10" until......it started smoking.....the sub was rated for 400w RMS and 1100w MAX lol YEA RIGHT! anyway, it wasnt quite loud enough for me so i turned it up a little.....smelled burnt voice coil.....heard a slight rattle....so i cranked the fuxor! hoping it would at least go out in style....nope...voice coil unwound and siezed, and actually detached from the cone! i figured since my 15"s were more then decent for the money...the 10" would be a good affordable medium for a large(ish) build, glad i didnt buy all eight!

and like many of you guys....when i toast a sub i like to dissect them to check out the damage....so here it is!:

thanks! lol! i dont know, i was thinking of going with 6 15" powerbass subs like the old ones i had in a full wall, i figured out what the problem was with these.....when i first got them, i noticed that the build quality was MUCH lower than my old 15"s well....theres one thing i didnt really notice until now....this 10" shown in the vid isnt even a "powerbass" sub.....its a COPY! lol! its a "powerBASE" HAHA! neg. feedback has already been left of ebay for selling me a fake! i wonder why someone would copy a company that is just starting out? pretty retarded, anyway im thinking of going crazy...so 6 15"s or 12 10"s what do you think? haha

fake powerbass? WOW!!! that's the first i've heard! that's funny though. who in their right mind would make fake powerbass?

Go with 6 15"s if you could do it. That would be crazy... what are you going to use to power them? and when do you plan on starting??

huh!?......,7 more of those would have handled the power going to them easily, but bootleg budget subs?!. man that sucks hope you didnt loose too much dough.

nah, i lost like 20 bucks, i have bought alot from this guy so he was giving them to me at his cost. and i know 7 more would handle the power better...but i wasnt satisfied with the sound, excursion was VERY limited, my fisher h/t speakers moved more than these things....and when i toasted the sub i juiced it for like literally 4 seconds, i was curious what it would do under some real power
