I happen to come across this amp on ebay.. looks totally kick ass but the price is totally out of this world. http://cgi.ebay.com/Soundstream-HUM...oryZ4950QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem http://www.soundstream.com/amplifiers-human.htm
I wouldnt buy one unless my custom car had a "GAY" theme. Then it would perfectly. haha jk awesome, but come on, eh, what's the point!?
it reminds me of evil dead.that crazy book in the movie had a face onit. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000A3XY9Q/deaditesonline kinda like it.close enough
Its a shame years back soundstream was the standard. I ran them in my competition vehicle. One big mistake and they were bankrupt and sold and have never been the same. They changed their power supply switching for high current and high power to autoamatic instead of manual and it did not work . if you were running a 1 ohm load and everyone was. It would let the smoke out. They had a 97 percent come back rate on these amps at the shop i worked for. we replaced 17 in one day cleaned out our inventory of them . had to swap them out with orion hccas
yeah that book changed my life..............wait wrong forum. i'm not evil.......just the voices in my head are......yeah voices.thats it.!
hey tech12volt I just bought an old school soundstream set of components model number EXC.4 (exact series) any info on them?
the exacts were a pretty good set. soundstream was more known for their amps than speakers . they di make one bitching spl 15 called the the spl160 at about the same time your comp set was made. we were a quart and a/d/s dealer at the time as well. so our typical system was jl w6 or w4 subs, quart or a/d/s comps , soundstream amps and clarion pro audio 6770 or 7770 head unit. We also sold an amp called audio art . It was ups brown . but we had none ever come back. I mean not one in 2 years. Nver dealt with them again after i moved back to ga. But i have always wondered what happened to them.
hey tech12 have you ever done a box that looks like a full size spare?my jimmy has the spare inside and was wondering how hard would it be to do a glass spare tire encloser. last time i went to a shop i was quoted like 600 to 800 bucks.
