I just re-installed my system in a new truck I bought and am having a problem I wasnt having before. When I start the truck, the amp has power but the subs will not turn on untill I turn the volume up a bit. I have a Alpine MRP M650 amp pushing 2 JL W1v2 10's from a Pioneer Avic D3 head unit. Like I said, it was working fine before I switched vehicles and Ive checked power, ground, remote and the speaker connections and everything seems to be connected right and recieving the correct power. Any ideas???

I know my kenwood amp has " signal sensing turn on" So if you dont have a remote wire the amp will kick on once a signal is received. Id check for you but i have to run in out in a minute, so id check to make sure your amp does or doesnt have that and the remote wire is free of any breaks and is nice and tight. If that amp has signal sense turn on then your remote wire could be bad and the amp is turning on once a strong enough signal is received. Hope this helped!

I dont think this amp has signal sense, but i did trace out the remote wire and all seemed to be good, maybe I just need to replace the whole wire. Any other ideas??
