(Pioneer coaxial 6.5's all around and a 4 channel amp powering them.) I want to put a sub in the trunk (civic) but i'm not taking out the rear speakers. I wanted something that comes in a small package and is balanced (between boom and clarity). I was thinking a single in a ported box (10 or 12) and preferrable already loaded or suggest a pre-fab box (i don't want to have one built or build it myself).
if you really wanted to save space.. I would do something like this. http://www.crutchfield.com/S-rxMcYT2RVVR/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=51000&I=700BASS4CH Basically its a 4 channel amp, sub amp, and sub.... in one little box. Just run your wires and you are done with the whole system. Just an idea.
Alpine has their new LAT systems...nice clean bass in a relatively small package The newest Car Audio and electronics mag has a review about the their new loaded sub box.
what is your budget? i have this very box and it gets loud. http://cgi.ebay.com/KICKER-VS10L5-S...1QQihZ004QQcategoryZ39772QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem it s big enough so you can mount your amps to it.there is also a 12 inch version
I actually like that vs10l5 kicker... i was looking at the vs8l5 a while ago but they dont seem to have them anymore and they were cheap too plus came loaded in a nice box for around $100 shipping included. Would this amp be good for the 10l5? http://www.millionbuy.com/kenkac8152d.html Speakers - 150 speaker amp - 80 sub- 165 sub amp - 150 almost = $550 which isn't too bad.
