    so i have a soundstream stl1.600 which is rated 400RMS@4ohm and if i get a DVC sub(rockford fosgate p2d412) and i know that if i wire it parallel its a 2ohm load to the amp...now how much power will the sub actually produce? 600rms? or something else?
    thanks

    Welcome to the forums lokito50...

    would you have a link to your soundstream amp?

    I'm guessing this is it.

    Power output:

    * 400 Watts RMS x 1 @ 4 ohms
    * 600 Watts RMS x 1 @ 2 ohms

    Now, the the rockford sub, just one. if you get the DVC 4ohm, like you said you can wire it parallel @ 2ohms... So, you'll be giving 600 watts RMS to the sub. I'm not sure if soundstream amps are overrated now, i think they are but you should be good.

    Are you making your own box for this? ported? sealed?
