Hey guys, if this is the second post forgive me I couldnt find my first. My buddy gave me a sub and I hooked it up and everything is good there. My problem/question is that the actual sub speaker has a lot of movement, like when it is playing or when I just push on it. I feel that there should not be that much movement and it is killing some of my sound. Suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks
Ya I could try and get that going for you. What the problem is, is that there is a lot of rattling which I think is comming from there being too much movement from the actual speaker/cone. when I push on the cone it seems like there should be more resistance and less movement, by movement I mean normal forward and back movement that a speaker makes this one just seems like to much movement, when compared to other subs. When I do push on the cone there is no scratching noise or anything like that, so I dont think its blown but I could be wrong. I think a more direct question is if there is a way to in a way tighten up the cone if that makes sense.
My cerwin vega moved almost too much. This was because the sub was in a box that was 1.5 cubic ft too big so this may be ur problem. Yes my sub was loud, but it moved in and out way too much to where it started bottoming out.
