I have an mtx 4510 10" DVC sub in a sealed box running about 250w. on startup every startup(also when changing a radio station or cd track) the sub pops in and out as if by ground loop at almost twice the volume of the rest of the signal? can't figure this out please help
Did you install this yourself?? How are all of the wires hooked up?? Remote wire connected to the blue wire behind the dash?? Bad ground?? a seat bolt is not a good ground Can't really diagnose the problem if we don't know what is going on or how everything is wired
acutally i work at a retail outlet and i'm using a 55amp dc power supply form 110v. i ran 10g pwr+grnd and a rem wire from one of the JVC head's on my display unit. amp is a JVC KS-AX3300 2ch rated at 4ohms 140w. running the DVC's paralell for a 2ohm load.
well the switchboard isint actually relavent at all, as i have the REM + source running direct from one of the heads on the board. I assumed the switching was a potential for ground loops etc. so i cut it out of the loop early on in the diagnosis. I'm running a aps-55 55a powersupply. I have seen this phoenomina before in an application, i beilieve it wound up either rca's bad or bad ground. However i dont see either of these as a possablilty in this situation. the only thing that seems out of the ordinary is my power supply has both a ground and a neg. when the neg. is hooked up, power is ok, but if the ground is hooked up no power results? odd eh?
