can a 1 channel 300 watt amp blow a 10" with 700 rms?? im pretty sure it wont but with the gain settings at half way the sub jumps so much im afraid to put it up anymore.
Possible if the amp if sending a fully clipped signal. Also some amps are rated at max and some at rms. Max ratings mean nothing pretty much but rms is what you should look at. RMS is the continuous output. Post model and specs of your amp and sub. Also what enclosure is it in? Another thing...THE GAIN IS NOT A VOLUME KNOB. The gain is to match the input sensivity to the head unit. An amp can put out full power even if the gain is at minimum.

The sub below i have hooked up 2 the same amp. thats the 1 im worried about blowing. i cant find it online 2 get the specs but i know the box said it was 700 watts rms, double stacked 200 oz. magnet, dual voice coils. i think 4 ohm.
Again, like AZN said, you can toast ANY sub with a severly clipping amplifier......might take a little while, but it can happen, respect your systems limits, dont invoke 28 dB of boost at 40Hz by turning on your loudness, cranking up the bass boost of your amp and sliding the 40 and 60Hz controls of your eq all the way up......bottom line, dont be a dumbass and your system will provide you with years of musical enjoyment..
So clarify exactly what you are asking?? 4 subs to one amp?? What is the model number of your amp...we don't know if its 300 watts rms or max
