I currently have a 10" Alpine Type R 2 ohm subwoofer installed and ran by an Alpine m500 amp and a 2 Farad Power Acoustik power capacitor. Everything is hooked up correctly, I have wired to run on the correct ohm impedance, and everything has power. The sub and everything functions properly until I turn it up moderately loud and then the subwoofer cuts out and stops playing. How do I get this to stop? Is it a setting or a filter I need to change? I also have everything on the lowest setting as far as bass and such. Any help would be appreciated.

    few of many things here

if im right its the dual 2 ohm sub, so amp will be powering this at 300w, as this is the rating at 4ohm,

so you could have it wired as 1ohm so let me know how you have this wired

the battery could be dropping out with the power increase

or the amp is buggered and overloading it self and switching to protect

i have a 1000w amp. but running 1 channel to a crappy mutant till i sort a decent amp for the subs ive just bought, and the amp cuts out, so its either the amp or the feedback from the crappy mutant sub!

    also check earths, and connections
