[attachmentid=4883] I am working on a box for my 97 ranger and the design will will be interesting. I have put a simple drawing of the box as an attachment. The box cant be any taller than 16" that is why the port splits. Will this have any affect on the speaker performance?
The split port should work fine, as long as the total port area remains constant down the length of the port - in other words, it doesn't taper from end to end. If it was partly a 2"x6" port (for example) that split into two 2"x3" ports, that would work fine. I don't really understand the need for the complication though, or how this is going to fit into a Ranger.. are you doing a blow-through?
