I recently got a 12" kicker comp cvx. I have it hooked up to a 1500 watt 2 channel rockford amp. when i got it installed, i was told that my amp would cut out because my amp was made for a different kind of sub. My sub cuts out after about 10 min. and repeatidly cuts out after that. Can anyone tell me why my sub and amp are mismatched? Should I get a different sub?

Your sub may be wired at too low of an impedance that your amp can handle.

What is the impedance of the sub???

Specs and model number of your amp???

The shop who installed it is retarded if they wired the sub to the amp wrong...like at a too low of an impedance load.

You sub is probably misswired. It sounds like you have it wired at too low of an impeadance so your amp is going into protection mode. How is the sub wired?

Damn you azn... you were faster than me
