OK, my friend has either a 99 or 2000 Escort ZX2, and has all the factory equipment. he wants to run just a sub and amp, off the factory deck. I was thinkin about testin out one of the E10k's sealed and maybe a JBL 300.1. Actually, we can get the RF Punch 300S for about the same price through Best Buy, cause we still know a bunch of peeps that work there. We'll probably end up going that route. Does anybody esle have any recommendations on this? It has to be under $300 for both, including box (we're gonna attempt to build one) and wiring ($20 at walmart). BTW, what is a good hi-low convertor, I heard thet the Pac-OEM ones are good, what else? I assume that the Scosche onres at walmart probably suck. What about the Ones that Best Buy carries, not sure the brand name, but they are made by RF.

BTW: How would a 10" Pioneer be compared to an e10k or, say, a 10" punch He2 for sq purposes with mostly rock music? We can get the good pioneers (not the cheapoies that say 400watts no the dustcap) for $45 each. Would it be worth the extra money to get one of those other subs, or would one of these suffice? Or could you go 2 of the pioneers and better (will still cost less). Thanks.

The K series subs were some of the best SQ subs i've heard... I don't think they'll compare to the Pioneers in output or SQ. Just my .02 B)

So you think the setup I've described will be ok? What would be the advantage of taking the 12 over the 10 in this situation? Thanks guys.
