There's two 12" SPX speakers on sale and I was wondering if they were good. Better than Sony? Worse than Kickers?

So I'd probably be better off buying another sony xplod?

can u guys compare hifonics to xplod to eD to kickers? If I buy two cheap 12s and 1 xplod...which would be better? Also, I found a kicker (400w) that cost less than an xplod (1300w). Why is this? Is the kicker still better even though it's only 400w? Thanks for all your help guys...

eD > Kicker > hifonics > sony imho. hifonics is all around higher quality and actually does what they're rated. Kicker still makes some good subs and amps but to me they dont sound near as good as eD speakers and their amps are rated at 12.5v and kickers are rated at 14.4v. I would definitaly take the kicker over that sony, the xplod is for sure rated at peak wattage.

if you have the xplode then make a decent box for it and pound away.

even a sub standard sub can pound in the right box as long as you dont clip the signal to it and /or drive it into mechanical failure.

i used to have a super crappy wal mart road master 12 in a terrible band pass box that hit the lows (and only lows) really well with only 150 watts.

i know this post is a few days old but i saw 10 inch lightning audio subs for 25 each at wal mart on clearance.

for 75 bucks for 3 in a good ported box it should get loud enough for most people.

Walmart don' carry lightning audio. Not online. And not in the stores around me... only sony and pioneer... and I like to hit the lows...

i bought a 10" dynex sub on-sale for $12 at best buy and the thing beats off 100watts. I also had 4 ehqs 12s from not too long ago when eD had that sale.
