I have a JVC KDG-510 cd player that's powering a pair of 5 1/4 polk momo mmc525 and a pair of 6x9 polk momo mmc690 and I have two 10 inch kicker subs running off a audiobahn a4002t. When i put the volume up somewhat high, the speakers cut out and all i can hear are the subs, but i don't have this problem at lower volumes. Could the speakers be trying to draw too much power from the head unit and it doesn't have it? Any help. Thanks

The way I like to diagnose a problem like this is with a volt meter. This way we are not guessing and wasting time

Remove the radio, but leave it hooked up, turn it on and turn it up. When the speakers stop playing measure the voltage on each speaker wire. The voltages should be about half of the cars battery voltage. All the speaker wires should have the same voltage (within a tenth of a volt).

What you are looking for is a speaker with 0 volts, thats the problem speaker.
(or a speaker with significantly less voltage than the others)
